HVS Boys - 10 Day Soccer Tour

Hoover-Vestavia soccer boys recently had the amazing chance to travel to separate locations within Europe to compete against some top-level talent in Germany and Luxembourg. They had an incredible nine-day trip filled with exciting highlights and unforgettable experiences. The tour kicked off with a visit to the 1.FC Kaiserslautern Stadium & museum tour. The Team headed to The Olympic Center in Saarbrucken where they lived and trained like an Olympian athlete for nine days. Another highlight was when the team had two practice sessions with guest coaches who had played professionally. The boys learned a lot and most importantly had fun too!


The Hoover boys faced the challenge of competing against some of the highest-level teams and getting out of their comfort zone was the best development experience they would not get in the U.S. Aside from the soccer matches, the team explored local culture, sampled local cuisine & toured the cities of Cologne and Strassburg. The players and coaches were also fortunate to experience watching a live game from the German National Team vs Belgium. It was an exciting match!


The day before heading home, the trip ended with a bang! We watched a live game 1.FC Kaiserslautern vs Heidenheim team drew a tie 2:2. What an intense game and the atmosphere in the stadium was electric.


Overall, the Hoover-Vestavia trip was an unforgettable experience with a combination of soccer and culture; and a lifetime of memories.
