Xiamen IFC - 2024

Destinations: Duisburg, Cologne, Saarbrücken, Luxembourg, Strasbourg, Kaiserslautern and Berlin!

Duration of Tour: 12 Days

In August 2024, our partner club, Xiamen International FC, returned for the second year to Germany, rekindling the bonds of international soccer and friendship. We welcomed the group in Duisburg, where they stayed at the renowned Sportschule Wedau for the first part of their tour.

The players started their adventure by participating in a soccer camp organized by Viktoria Köln, where they joined around 100 other kids from various age groups. The event was filled with enthusiasm, camaraderie, and a few victories in different challenges, providing a competitive and fun environment for the young athletes.

The tour was not just about soccer but also about cultural and sightseeing experiences. The team visited cities such as Cologne, Saarbrücken, Luxembourg, Strasbourg, and Kaiserslautern, immersing themselves in these places' rich history and beauty. In Luxembourg, they faced off against local club Una Strassen in a competitive match, testing their skills and teamwork. Later, in Kaiserslautern, Germany, they had the opportunity to play another game against USYS Europe. These international fixtures not only provided a thrilling soccer experience but also fostered a spirit of sportsmanship and connection across borders, highlighting the value of cultural exchange in sports.

While in Saarbrücken, the team trained under the guidance of Youth Bundesliga coaches, sharpening their skills and gaining new insights into professional soccer training. Beyond soccer, the group immersed themselves in German culture and cuisine, enjoying local dishes and learning more about the traditions of the regions they visited.

The journey concluded with a stop in Berlin, where the team reflected on their experiences before boarding their flight back to China. The tour was a resounding success, blending soccer, sightseeing, and cultural exchange. The players returned home not only with unforgettable memories and a deeper connection to German soccer and culture, but also with significantly improved skills, a testament to their hard work and dedication.
